Suns game/baby shower cake!

For Christmas, I got Brad Suns tickets! He absolutely loved it! We sat really close too! The game was on the 9th and we played the Dallas Mavericks! WE KILLED THEM! Whoop whoop! Before the game we ate at a restaurant called Cooperstown. Delicious! I would have posted sooner, but I just barley got pictures from it! :) But we had such a fun night!

Ok, this cake, I made this weekend. It was for Brad's sister in law D'Coda. Her baby is due next month and her shower was on Saturday. I went up to SJ's to do it and I was sooooo nervous, but it actually turned out super cute! And chocolate fondant is delicious!! Its made from real chocolate!!! yummm! And yes those are antlers....You can't do a redneck cake without having some kind of design that shows it! haha

HE'S BAAAAAAAACK!!!!!

Ok, so I know it's been FOREVER since I last posted, but life was just CRAZY! Brad is freaking home! I still can't believe it! The day he came home was so weird! Everything felt like a dream. It didn't hit me that he was really coming home until the night before, and it was like all of a sudden! So weird! I wanted to put the video of him at the airport but I couldn't get it to upload to my blog. (so mad!) But here we are at the airport waiting for him to walk off the plane! Dana (his mom) and I were freaking out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was ready to throw up, waiting for him to shake my hand, and HE HUGGED ME! Some of you may consider that bad, but I could care less what you think!

Kristen loves me for putting this one up! But here we are crying! I was doing just fine till she walked up to me balling! Then I lost it! She was there taking pictures for us! Thanx girl! You're the best!!!

I went up to SJ on Christmas after celebrating with my family and the day after Christmas, IT SNOWED SO MUCH! Thank goodness I went up when I did. It was freezing there! 2 degrees at night!! Brrrrr!!!

Brad and his dad made us a home made sled! It was so much fun. Freaking cold, but fun! This is Brandis and I ready to go!

My worker man! Him and his dad spent all day chopping that wood and bringing it back for the fire! That's a lot of wood....

Christmas break was a lot of fun. Thanx to the Overson's for letting me stay with them all week and putting up with me! You guys are the best and I love you guys! Thanx for all you did for me! I wish I could post videos of boxing on the wii but my dumb computer won't let me! Hope you forgive me! ;)

We all drove home on New Years Eve so we could spend it in Mesa. Brandis drove home with me and we jammed out the whole way home and screamed karaoke! Oh how I love her!

SJ's has these Fina Burritos that are absolutely amazing! I literally crave them! Weird I know... But you just can't go there without getting 1. I mean 2! or 3...or 4... :) Don't judge me! I was on vacation! haha I hit up the gym first thing after break! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! 21 BABY!

Yesterday was my 21 Birthday. And due to an illness and antibiotics that only made me worse....I was grateful that I celebrated with my friends on Friday!! We all went out to BJ's restaurant for dinner and then back to my house for cake and wii. Thank you to everyone that came!! It was a blast!! It sure will be a birthday to remember!!Thanx to...Kristen, Missy, Kassi, Cody, Brad, Kent, Lexee & Brad, Mallory & Justin, Allie & Josh, Kylie & Brett, Erica & Albert, Caitlin & Robin, Stacey & Dallin, Clint & Jodi, and Wendi & Matt!! (Yes more than half of them were married! haha I wasn't kidding when I said ALL my friends are married!!)

And how could I have a birthday get together with out making myself a cake??? Some of you may think I'm a loser, but hey, I need all the practice I can get if I want to make a business out of this!!

Thanksgiving

So I know it's a week late, but this was my Thanksgiving! Only a small portion of my family this year. Some of my family was being lame, and others had a good excuse! But we had so much fun cooking, baking, laughing, chit chatting, watching the rain, and looking through ALL of the ads for our freaking early shopping on Black Friday haha. I love my family soooooo much! They are so fun and I wish we got together more often!

Just wanted to do a shout out to my sister! She is the best sister anyone could ask for! (sometimes! jk!!!!) We got pretty close these last few years (since we are 10 years apart!) and always seem to call eachother when we are bored! We have gone through a lot as a family, especially this last year, and I'm so glad I have my sister. I don't know what I would do with out her! I love you sis!!!!! (people say we look a like, but i can never see it!)

And of course I can't forget about Brad! He is doing so good on his mission and is loving every last second of it! His mission president told his mom that he's been such an awesome missionary and is always doing his best. His testimony is so strong, I know he'll be able to convert his family! I can't wait to see him next week!! AHHHH!!

Another girls DAY!

Friday started off with TWILIGHT! I personally loved it! But then again I only read half of the first book. But I want to start on the second one! :) I went with Brandis (Brad's little sister) it was a blast! I love that girl! She is so fun to be around!

Then, Friday night, was a girls night reunion. Erica, Mallory, Allison, Me, and Kylie, all went out to eat at Red Robin. We caught up on just about everything! haha Everyone of them are married or engaged. Not gonna lie....kinda depressing listening to all their stories! haha just kidding! It was really fun! I just had to keep reminding myself how many more days til Brad gets home! :) :)

We then went to Pizza Mart for old time sakes and got their 50 cent ice cream cones which are SO GOOD. yummm :) We went there probably at LEAST twice a week in high school for lunch or for the weekend! Gotta love Pizza Mart! Mallory was a poop and HAD to go see Justin so thats why she isn't in this picture! hehe I love you Mal!!

Who loves Sleeping Beauty??

So this weekend I watched all of my sister's kids for her while she traveled off to Mexico to be alone with her husband. She does it every year, and every year I'm the lucky one that gets to watch them! haha But I really do enjoy watching them. Anyway, my niece Blayke, all she wants to do is watch princess movies and Sleeping Beauty is her favorite! When I was her age that is all I wanted to watch too! My brothers would get so sick of it, that they would tell me that my mom wanted me and while I was gone, they would fast forward it.....awesome huh? haha So Blayke and I watched it a million times this weekend but occasionally threw in Little Mermaid or Cinderella. She is so cute and soooo sweet! You would think she was my kid though for wanting to watch it over and over! haha Oh and Tyke is the most adorable, chubby, sweetest baby anyone could ask for! I really hope mine are as good as him someday! (yeah right with my luck) Hope your trip was relaxing enough to last you another year sister!!

Week 4

Ok, so here is my last cake of my class. We learned how to make different kind of bows and make 3D objects for our cakes! I wanted to do zebra stripes but I didn't buy black fondant and I wasn't about to mix it myself again! haha But this one isn't perfect, but I think it's kinda cute. I ran out of pink fondant so I couldn't do the ball border on the bottom layer, so just pretend it's there! :) I'm so sad my class is over, but now It got some cute ideas for my own birthday cake! haha it's coming up, so stay tuned!

Week 3

Here is another cake that I made at my cake class. I seriously have the best teacher! I love her! She is so much fun and really takes the time to help you! I don't get to spend as much time on them as I would like there....so there is some flaws that I didn't get to correct, but other than that, this was a fun one! Oh and I'm not so sure about the colors, but I think it's cute! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MAKING CAKES!!! Seriously does anyone need one for any event????

Snowflake Road Trip

So I know I'm a week late at posting, but last weekend Kristen and I took a road trip to Snowflake! We had so much fun! We wish we could have stayed another day, but when you have to pay bills, you gotta go to dang work on Monday! Here are some pictures of us just having fun and cause we wanted to send them to our missionaries! Which by the way are doing so good! Anyway, enjoy! haha

Bridal Shower Cake

I made this cake for my friend Kylie's bridal shower!! I think it turned out really cute! I'm really enjoying making these!! I love the final outcome! So I signed up for a new cake class. My first class was tonight and I had SO much fun at it! I'm so looking forward to next week! I really think I'm going to learn a lot from this class! So I'll keep you posted!! But what do you think about this cake?

HERE HE IS!!

So I FINALLY got pictures from Brad!! It's about time I know! But here he is!! He's doing so good! He was released as Zone Leader so that he could be put back in the Porteugese area for his last 3 months. He LOVES IT!!! He absolutly loves the language! He says that his new companion is the best one that he has had the whole mission. He also told me that in his new area he is the ONLY white boy! haha They call him Flava Flav and they are teaching him how to shake it! hahaha I still can't believe how close it is till he comes home!! Woo Hoo!!
